New Yorker is a German clothing chain based in Braunschweig whose slogan is “Dress for the moment”. The first store opened in Flensburg, Germany in 1971, originally a denim store. Currently, Friedrich Knapp, Helene Steiner, Florian Kall and Thomas Krecklenberg sit on the company’s management board. The New Yorker brand is the winner of many international awards, including the Polish Customer Laurel (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), Enda Award (2010), Retailer-Award (2009) and London International Award (2008).
